Darlene,

I have had several endo flare ups. They have been described as flare-ups by my URO/GYN and OB/GYN. Have you tried going to a pelvic floor physical therapist? They are tremendously helpful in getting you thru the flare ups. Here is a link to find one in your area: http://www.ic-network.com/md/ptlistings.html You can try warm baths, a muscle relaxer like flexeril at bedtime, exercise such as yoga to help relieve the pelvic floor muscles. I also use the Nuprin pain patch (over the counter) on my belly for pain.

Doing all of the above will definitely help the flare up subside. Are you taking Ibuprofen? You might want to talk to your doctor about something stronger to be used in combination with a muscle relaxer. Consider the PT. I have been doing it for 3 years and it helps me tremendously!

Good luck!
