The toughest part about trying to determine what is causing pain is that
we are all different. :)
I had something very similar to yours, but my understanding is that pain
on one side is typcially cysts or involves the ovaries.
I do have adenomyosis and that is more of a "middle" pain that feels
like someone is digging with a needle - very nerve intensive. I'm
concerned that your doc indicated that there's "no way to tell" if that
is what you have. In fact, doctors CAN feel adenomyosis during a pelvic
exam, if they know what they are looking for. (Although it's less than
pleasant, let me tell ya'!)
My advice? Get a second opinion! Anytime you are considering removing
organs, you want to be sure of your decision and right now, you don't
sound that way.
I had my right ovary and tube removed in one surgery and my appendix
taken out in another surgery and both helped to reduce my pain a GREAT
deal!
*Remember - just because a doctor says they did not SEE anything during
surgery doesn't always mean you don't HAVE endo, as it's possible they
simply could not see it (since some is clear, or hidden in the
intestines) or find it.
