Wow - I wish I could offer some ideas. I felt the same way right after I was diagnosed with a lap that did not offer much pain relief.

You mention the diet not helping you... it sounds like you need to have a GOOD surgeon do a lap FIRST. Could you network with women in your area to learn who might be a good surgeon?

I hope you can find some way to take care of yourself. It will make you a happier person and we all deserve that!
