Re: Too tiredFrom: Jenny (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jun 29 07:28:04 2006
Anon ~ Hang in there!! My heart goes out to you. If you open my diary from a few months ago you will see that I wrote, "It's 3AM and I'm crying, I'm tired, and hopeless. The pain woke me up again and I am tired of living in this messed up body. Is this going to be my life forever?!" Had two surgeries in the last year that did not totally get rid of the pain. I felt pretty scared that nothing would make me feel better. I could see my friends wondering internally if I was just crazy. If you need surgery, check into this: people donate to hospitals to help people like us. I received a grant for $2,500 to apply for my first surgery when I wasn't insured. Anon, I was taking Vicodin 3x a day, everyday of the month to help with the pain. I now take Advil when I menstrate or ovulate. What is helping me? I know I sound like a broken record on this forum, but acupuncture is what has helped me. My acupuncturist also does chiropractic work on me. I've been at it for almost a couple of months. Expensive?-no, it is $32 a session, and I save by not buying pain meds. You're not being punished. You are going to be ok. Oh, and also what helps me - counseling!!! I go to someplace that bases your fee on your income. (Mine is only $18!) Please try counseling if you can afford it. Going has made me feel clearer about my life and it has made me feel in control of the things I can control. Our friends/family are great to talk to, but endo can be overwhelming to them. The therapist is focused on helping you make your life better. Sending a prayer to you through our computers... ~Jenny
