thank you for your responsesFrom: ada (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Jun 18 18:48:48 2006
Thank you for all who resonded to me. I know several of you did not see my first posting and asked about my story. Well I have had bad periods since high school, the kind where I was on the floor throwing up from the pain and went to the er several times. Ended up on bc well before I was sexually active to help with the pain. I am 37 with two children ages 6 and 8. My intense and chronic pain began when I weaned my second child. I began a horrible cycle of ovarian cysts (several which popped and I thought I would die from the pain). However it has been the ovulation pain and the chronic back pain (and pain in the tail bone area) that has driven my crazy. I am only 1 month post lap. At that time they found endo (stage 3) with adhesions I did have some intestinal flap (cant remember the name) that was adhesed down by my ovary and was stretched far from where it should have been. I also was diagnosed with chronic pelvic congestion (vericose veins in the uterus) and adenmyosis (endometriosis in the uterine muscle). I also had very heavy periods and my doctor performed an uterine abrasion. Anyone else had one? Unfortuantely, being one month post lap I still have some pain. My husband keeps asking if the pain is gone since they took out endo, but I still feel it. Just had my ovulation time and the pain was there, but I guess it was better than before. I know many of you have had multiple laps how long between your surgeries? I just don't think people realize the chronic nature of the pain. I think I will try the diet and see if it helps. Have not tried Lupron and really would like to avoid it if possible. My doc seems to think that a full hysterectomy would be my only cure since I have so much going on down there. Anyone else have endo and pelvic congestion? Ada
