new to siteFrom: ada (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Jun 13 18:06:49 2006
I am new to this site, but have felt relief just reading other people's stories. It is amazing how knowing you are not alone is a comfort in its self. I am 37 years old and 3 weeks post lap (my first). I have endo (stage 3, adenmyosis (basically endo in the uterine muscle) and pelvic congestion syndrome (vericose veins in the uterus). I am lucky because I have 2 beautiful children ages 8 and 6. I always had terrible periods, the kind where my parents brought me to the er in high school ( drs told my parents I was dramatic). However, i did not have trouble getting pregnant, I was very lucky. After weaning my second child I began with the chronic pain and the constant ovarian cysts. I had several that popped and I would have sworn I was dying. It is the chronic back pain that makes me insane. The postings about whining is what I can sooo relate to. When I was going to get my lap. done several people were surprised to hear that I even had any trouble because I do not complain (or try not to). But, I agree when people ask how you are doing most just want the "fine, how are you answer". My husband who is wonderful is also clueless. He is so clueless in how to support me at times I can't take it. I dont want to hear "did you take something". I feel like since the lap he thinks I should be fine. They did take out endo, but I still have the other things and the dr said my only options were a hysterectomy. Sometimes I just want to whine and scream I dont feel good. Has the diet made a big difference in anyone's pain level? I am in good shape and do excercise pretty regularly. I eat basically healthy but do have the occasional caffeine and I do eat wheat. Thanks for letting me vent.
