I didn't find it helped anything to do with my pain, and I did have many and severe side effects that were in no way a good trade off. While the first few times it helped me to sleep, it was not helping the pain the way she intended it to help. She increased the dose, then the side effects became quite profound. Although I didn't relate what was going on with me to the anti depressant until much later. I started behaving strangely, my moods were increasingly erratic. I was more depressed than when I started. I also started having bizarre and very real dreams, I acted out and slept walked, most every night. I just assumed, as I had no knowledge of antidepressant side effects at that time, nor did I study about it before I took them, so i only thought I was getting worse, not that I was having issues with the drug itself. I complained about it all and she too thought that I was just getting worse. She changed my med's to another, stronger type, and it all got worse yet. The rest of my story I explained in March, you can read it in the archives, under, anti depressants, posted under my name. None however made any difference what so ever in pain relief, although in the end, they almost killed me, or should I be more accurate in saying, they almost made me kill myself. Be very careful and make sure you have read extensively on the side effects and symptoms of , before you take any of them. For your own safety. I changed my diet and cut out everything white, NO SUGAR was a biggy. I started supplements prescribed by a natural medicine Dr. I take, Omega 3 fatty acids, the best on the market and the one prescribed that I SWEAR on and that made me SO much better and all but cured my depression issues, is, UDO OIL, I cannot rave enough of it's effects on every part of my body. It was very soon after taking it and I felt obvious and vast improvements in every area of my health. I am NOT one to promote products. Besides those, (3-6-9, blend), I took 2000 mg of EsterC,(vit C), magnesium, D...E...Folic acid...Selenium..Complex B... and garlic and ginger root, (fresh/organic) for the anti bacterial, anti inflammatory, effects. And it kills parasites as well. After a very short time of the change, BIG things started to happen. I felt so much better, my depression all but left. One has to remember that while pain plays a big part in our depression when it is caused by the daily living with chronic pain. Anti depressants may only help us to cope a little better. However, I found that by taking this combination of a healthier alternative, It helped me FAR better than ANY of the prescribed depression meds ever did. It helped my moods, nausea, sleep,, concentration, energy, fibromyalgia symptoms, and a host of other things. I don't think now I could live without them. I hope this helps. If you want any other info, like the link to UDO OIL, Just write me and I will send you the info, I DO swear by it!! It isn;t that expensive either. I am in Canada and I can get it at most of my health food stores. the guy that makes it is a very prominent scientist and organic and natural health specialist and researcher. All the best. Good luck in your journey, I wish you health, Loretta
