I have found that I have more luck with doctors that are closer to my own age. I think a lot has to do with the comfort level when talking about personal issues. If you feel that you have a communication problem with your doc by all means find one that you can talk to (at least). It is your body. I have also found just by experience, since this disease starts so young, that I need to communicate better. I just always tell myself, "Docs aren't mind readers...they are encyclopedias" =). I have never had the reaction that you had, but as we all know, nothing is absolute in this disease. Good Luck!
