Re: LAP ON 6/9/6

I had my appendix removed two weeks after my first lap, because she couldn't find it during my first one--other wise she was planning to take it out (It was hiding behind my intestines in the "wrong" place--it's called a retrocecal appendix, and occurs in about 1% of the popular--just like me to be a freak!). Since it's not really a necessary body part, it's more preventative medicine. Try not to worry about it. Removing your appendix is totally normal and doesn't necessarily indicate a problem. It's saving you from more scar tissue later if it becomes inflamed.

Good luck, and remember, after surgery, holding a pillow or a rolled up blanket against your tummy will keep you from feeling like your guts are ready to jump out of your belly button!

peace, prayers and hugs!
