I am so sorry that you are still not feeling better and your pain is worse. I experienced that after my 1st lap, the sharp pain is better but every once in awhile I will get them for no apparent reason. I am sorry, I am not more help. As for Neurontin, it is also used for patients who suffer from shingles and experience "sharp" pain. Maybe, that is why your DR is prescribing it hoping to take that away. I would just research the drug as much as possible and only take it if you think it is right for you. Nothing against DR's but sometimes they overprescribe meds and they potentially have worse side effects than your actual problem...I really hope you are feeling better soon.
