Re: need adviceFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed May 31 21:50:17 2006
Hi Brenda, You say that the more you do the more you bleed...sounds to me like you're putting way too much strain on your body in order to have everything spic'n'span before your surgery, probably because you know you'll have to be in bed for a while afterwards. My advice...girl, take it easy even BEFORE the surgery. Obviously it's not doing you good to be working that hard, even though it might seem that you're doing just the ordinary things. Let it all go....it's ok to have a bit of dust around the house, your health and your body is more important, especially taking care of it before your surgery so you'll be strong during the surgery, and you'll recover well. Take vitamins, eat healthy and take it easy, most importantly!! Everything can't get done all at once, and that's ok. Here's a nice poem for you, which I recently picked up at my Chronic Pain Management Class: Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better To paint a picture or write a letter, Bake a cake or plant a seed. Ponder the difference between want and need. Dust if you must, but there's not much time, With rivers to swim and mountains to climb, Music to hear and books to read, Friends to cherish and life to lead. Dust if you must, but the world's out there With the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair, A flutter of snow, a shower of rain. This day will not come around again. Dust if you must, but bear in mind, Old age will come and it's not kind. And when you go and go you must, You, yourself, will make more dust. Remember, a house becomes a home when you can write "I love you" on the furniture.... Best wishes for your upcoming surgery to go very well, and for great quick and pain-free recovery for you! Inny.
