Usually the doctor will schedule an office visit with you about a week before the surgery to help explain the procedure and go over any concerns you may have. That's typically called a "pre op" (short for operative) and you'll also have a "post op" a week or so after your surgery to check how you're healing and go over the findings when you're more awake :)

The surgery is really not too bad and you'll just want to be easy on yourself and give yourself plenty of time to heal. Depending on how much work they do in there, it can take you more or less time to heal. But if you do too much too fast you can set yourself back, so take it easy. I know you'll do fine and you'll be glad to have it over with! :)
