immense pain; what do you think caused it?From: holly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed May 31 16:57:59 2006
i was expecting my period saturday based on my regular schedule and when i think i ovulated. it's still not here. 2 pgcy tests have been negative. no real surprise there. *rolleyes* but all my bloodwork (thyroid, prolactin, day 3 fsh, estrogen, etc) was done in april, and it was all normal. i'm guessing the meds for my sinus infection have something to do with this. however, the day it was due, i had the absolute worst pain ever. i don't think i've ever had pain that bad. i couldn't speak to my husband. when he asked me what was wrong, i couldn't even talk, and he couldn't understand me either. he gave me some lortab and helped me to bed, but the pain continued all night. the next morning, it was better, but i had lots of tenderness on the lower right side. it hurt when i fastened my jeans even. nausea, vomiting, the whole nine yards that day. monday, still light-headed, but no more pain. by the end of the day, i felt great. still feel pretty good today. still no period though. but the pain i had saturday has me worried. what in sam hill was it? i've had a cyst rupture before, and the pain was bad, but it wasn't that bad, and it only lasted about 20 minutes or so, not the entire night long lingering into the next day. any ideas? could it have been just a horrific case of gas or something? i'm thinking the stomach upset was probably from the sinus meds. but the pelvic pain has me worried. i'm used to pain, but good grief, that was way more than i've ever had. fwiw, i just had my 3rd laparoscopy in march, and last month's period was actually decent compared to before the lap. so this has me really confused and annoyed. thanks for listening.
