Hi Lauren,

I'm not new to endo but to here, but welcome! My surgery where I had 4 places lasered I found very painful for a couple of days especially breathing but that subsided 3 days later. I was back to work after a week. It can depend on how extensive the laser treatment needs to be. As you're young hopefully your health is good so it shouldnt be a long time for you. Try not to fret as you mentioned you have it in your family try and get as much guidance from them and keep asking question. It's more scary not knowing I find as knowing means you can do something about it. I found myself for 3 years constantly saying to the doctor the pain I was in wasnt normal it took for me to demand to a specialist to get the answers I needed. I have just posted about my fears of fertility also as I feel I need reassurance i think the best thing we can both do is speak to our doctors as much as poss. I have been suffering for 3 years without detection and my fertility seems to be fine according to the docs. Try and stay positive and not to worry they know what they're doing! x
