Lupron not working...any similar experiences?

Hi all... Well...this Friday I will be getting my third (of five) Lupron shot. The first month....I got my period and it lasted like 16 days...it wasn't as heavy but it was still painful. Month two....got my period....lasted six days or so..not as heavy...but the pain was still there.

Well...now...15 days after my last period...I got another period....uggggggh. Again..it's not as heavy...but it is still very painful. After the second period...I called the ob/gyn triage nurse and she told me that my second period would be my last and that my body was still getting used to the shot. Well....what explains this third period then?

I'm half way done with the shots and so far they haven't done a darn thing for me. I'm so frustrated....thank goodness my insurance is picking up the cost of the shots...but man....I feel like it has been pointless thus far.

Five years ago or so...when I did Lupron for the first time...it worked great. I never had one period, didn't have any pain, etc. This time has been very much different. I don't know....when I did the lupron before...I was coming right off of having a lap. and this time....things were really bad when I started and it's been almost three years since my last lap....could that make a difference?

Just wondering if anyone has gone thru anything similar...this is getting really old. You bank on something working and then it doesn't....it sucks!!! Oh..I forgot to add...the lupron isn't doing what it's supposed to be...but I'm still getting all the fun side effects..night sweats, hot flashes, headaches, mood swings...errrrr!!!

Thanks everyone... Hugs, Olivia
