Not everyone even has pennies to pinch, and if they had anything left over it
would still sure take a long time to save 10 - 15 thousand dollars for surgery.
Just b/c some/most don't have that kind of money, does not mean they care less
 about their health.
Many fine surgeons live all over the world, one may have just as good sucess
with the one in their city as you have had with yours. Not everyone who goes
to your Dr will be helped as much as you either. Each persons success and recovery is
individual to them.
It is great to have the "best" you can get, but that is just
the point here, the "best" you can get may be in your own back yard.
When I had my laparotomy surgery the "best" in the field was in Toronto, I was
single and NO way could I travel to Toronto, it did not matter how much I
wanted the best, it was not a reality for me to get that kind of money for the
trip, and if the procedure can be done in my province health care will not cover
any expenses to go elsewhere. I had to settle for a surgeon at my local hospital.
It was the greatest of success's, he did an excellent job, I did not need to
travel any where else to have the same outcome. And he was not a gyne
specialist, he was a general surgeon.
While we all would love to be able to do the things we wish, reality is often
another thing all together. It does not mean we care any less about our health.
I am glad your outcome was all you hoped it would be.
Continued success , as you said, endo has been known to reoccure, and if I am
correct, your surgery is not all that old yet.
I continue to pray you stay well, and it stays that way. Good luck.Loretta
