any theories on endo?

My question for women out there is do you have any theories on where endo came from or why more is not being done about it?

I have had Endo for over 20 years. It seems to run in my family. But I constantly ask myself if it isnt something in our enviroment that causes endo.

Also why is there not a cure for this? Why is Endometriosis not recognized and well known as a disease? Why arent there fund raisers for endo like cancer or diabetis? Because its not life threatning? It is! How many of you women out there have either: 1. Lost your job due to too many sick days or felt pressure from a boss for taking too many sick days? 2. Had a big fight with your spouse because of elevated hormones from endo or the "treatments" that have emotional roller coasters as a side affect? 3. How many women cant get out of bed sometimes and feel envious of other healthy people who are out there doing life things that you want to be doing/ 4. How many women cant have children due to endo or have to go to alternative methods to have children. 5. How many times have you sat and prayed for menopause or for the pain killers to kick in so you can sleep and escape your reality?

To me these are life threatning side affects of endo. My quality of life is greatly affected by this disease and I am one of the lucky ones. I only have endo pain for 3 days before my period and during. But those days are hard to take and I find it hard to do anything else. I have tried all the treatments. I mean all of them. They are temporary fixes and sometimes just educated guesses for a bigger issue that no one knows the answer to. Why?

Please send me your theories. I would love to hear them.
