Re: post operative painFrom: Sabrina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Apr 29 20:35:01 2006
I had a d&c for retained parts after my daughter was born. My surgery was 7/6/05. I had pelvic pain since surgery. It was better for about two months after surgery then progressively has gotten worse. Ovary pain started about September? Definitely there in October. I actually ended up getting a really bad spinal headache after the surgery and ended up in the ER. The ER gave me about 30 Lortab for the headache. It didn't touch it and I used Firoicet instead. Which left me with a bunch of Lortab. I used the Lortab till January when I ran out. I told my ob about the pain in January at my annual exam and he said to take Motrin. That tune quickly changed two days later when the ER called him and told him I was there for pelvic pain. Then the next day he was telling me TAKE the Darvocet that was authorized by the ER with Motrin. If I had any problems call him. So far I have called in each month (Feb, Mar, and Apr) and they have given me a fill each time of Darvocet. It doesn't kill it but makes it bearable.
