Re: HELP Breakthrough Bleeding on BCP and Provera - UpdateFrom: Sabrina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Mar 31 11:59:38 2006
Ok the nurse called back. He is not sure why I had bleeding last night on Provera and the pill. He thinks it was a fluke. He is saying regulate first. So now I have to stay on Provera TEN more stinking days. I was so looking forward to getting off of it on Sunday. I HATE it I HATE it I HATE it. No continuous bcp either because I am having breakthrough bleeding (but this is the first time since I have been on Provera that this has happened, been on Provera since the end of January.) Then I have to do the inactive pills, then start Provera on the 12th day of the pill pack to the end. He told the nurse that I have to let my body have a chance for a regular period. On one hand I want to buck the advice and skip because it was awful this month (and it was documented on that calendar I faxed to him that I missed two days of work because of it and pain levels and symptoms). But then if I buck his advice, and skip into the next pack, I'm not following instructions (not that he would say that to me) and how can he help me if I don't follow the medical advice. I didn't get the mean nasty nurse this time, I got a nice nurse. Although she wasn't so chirpy after lunch. Nothing I did, just sounded tired and irritated. Maybe my doc is getting tired of me calling and complaining? I am probably reading too much into it. At what point do you get a second opinion? I have to make an appt with my pcp who is Family Practice and for my BP and I thought baout running it by her and seeing what she thinks and if I should get a second opinion. I have only been complaining and working on this for 2 months now. How long do you give your doc? I like him and want to give him the opportunity to help but I am impatient and want an instant cure (I know not that easy and I feel bad because I know some of you have spent years getting help, so I feel like I am whining here).
