Lesley, Check out this web site: http://www.morehead.org/wellconnected/000074.htm In the first paragraph or so it says something to the effect that endometriosis can exibit in several forms, one of which is an endometrioma. I do know that doctors will sometimes biopsy legions and cysts that they think are endometriosis to confirm that the tissue really is endometriosis.
