Pain during ovulationFrom: kris (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Mar 30 22:39:10 2006
I was diagnosed with endo approx. 9 years ago and have had 4 surgeries...my last one was two monthes ago. I have always had pretty mild symptoms but about 8 monthes ago I started having severe pain with urination and bowel movements. My doctor sent me to a urologist and I had a scope of my bladder done and they didn't find anything wrong with my bladder. So ended up having my 4th surgery. Only two days after my surgery and the pain during urination was still there...which sucks because I had expected it be taken of like it always has been in the past. There was no endo found on my bladder or bowel that my doctor could find. So went back for my follow-up appt. and my doctor said I needed to go back to the urologist...who only prescribed two medications to see if they help....and they aren't. I have been tracking my symptoms and days of pain and haved noticed a pattern. It appears pain starts on exactly 14 days after the first day of my period...so during ovulation. It lasts a few days and then goes away for a bit and then returns during my period. Has anyone else had similar symptoms and what have you tried to do about it? I have given up caffeine, artificial sweetners and diet pop but haven't noticed too much of change but figure it can't be hurting me. So any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm getting a little frustrated with my doctor and think it may be time for a change....does anyone know of any good doctors in central Ohio area? Thanks for listening to me rant...
