Re: Endo and Bowel DisorderFrom: Victoria (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Mar 30 21:32:42 2006
I am really sorry to hear of your not so fun bowel problems. I have the majortity of my endo problems with my bowels since my hysterectomy 6 years ago. Most of my problems are from the adhesions, obstruction and chronic constipation. The cramping is really bad though. When my body decides at 5 am that it is time to rev up for a bm it feels like fred flintstones feet when the car aint moving. Just spinning out for nothing. Before the adhesions were really bad I would alternate between the runs and not at all. So pretty much IBS symptoms except the pain level was a lot higher. I eat alot of fiber and drink alot of water, juice and take senakot. I would try modifying your diet a bit to see if that helps a little. An over the counter med that helps with some of the cramps is actully good old Ovol for gas. It makes you fart but you do feel better. What I find the most frustrating about these symptoms is that they are gross. My girlfriends just can't relate to barely making it to a bathroom when your out shopping cause your colon has decided to have a nice little spasm during your time out. It is just not polite to talk about. To heck with that... bowel symptoms are the shits!!! Feel better soon. Endo is a nasty monkey that acts up where ever it decides to plant itself. Take care of your diet and nutrition and head it off at the pass. Victoria
