Something else that causes the ovaries to kick out more estrogen!!

I was reading a few articles on the net today about night shift workers and increased cancer risk. I know this article below is about breast cancer, but I can see a correlation to endo. Melatonin is a hormone that naturally rises at night and helps us to sleep. When this hormone is interrupted by bright lights at night, or by lack of sleep, it causes our ovaries to kick out extra estrogen. This has been linked to breast and colon cancer. I also wonder if it could be linked to endometriosis in some women. Or if it could be linked to worsening symptoms. Many of us in here do not sleep well and I wonder if interrupting this melatonin rise could be like a vicious cycle for us?

I worked night shift for 6 years and drank a ton of coffee/caffeine products. I think that I was an estrogen factory just feeding the lesions in my body! You know, like that venus fly trap from The Little Shop of Horrors. "FEED ME SEYMORE!!" If interested check out the link:

Have an awesome night everyone and I sure hope that we can get some good sleep:)- Kerm
