Last September I had a complex "chocolate" cyst removed from my left ovary. It was about the size of a softball. The doctor just mentioned that she removed cyst and all went well. I went to the hospital to get a copy of my medical record and when I read the operative report it had a diagnosis of "probable endometriosis." She never even mentioned it to me! I am concerned now because about 2 months after this cyst was removed and I am having pain in the same area again. I went to the ER and the ultrasound showed no abnormalities and the docs there treated me like it was all in my head! Its not! I am in so much pain I am not able to work or do much of anything else. To make matters worse I am getting very depressed. Can anyone give me any input on this? I just recently moved to NC from VA so now I have to try and find a good Dr. If anyone has any recommendations for a physician around the Raleigh, NC area please let me know.
