Re: Peritoneal Pockets

I had some peritoneal lining endo that could be explained as an "Allen Master's Window". There is very little info on the net about it. Please get some more info from your doctor. Just saying "they aren't good" is not a great response from her. I would want to know what is not so good about it. What are the side effects and implications?

PLEASE do not be afraid of asking your doctor more about a diagnosis. A good doctor will gladly and kindly answer any questions, especially when the diagnosis gives them a negative vibe. Hernias are "outpouchings". I would ask her, are they going to rupture, break, or leak fluid into your abdomen? What is the treatment? Or, what do they do for this condition? I would be very interested in what she says. My endo was removed from the lining area during surgery and has not caused me any trouble. Your condition may be very different. Great question though, it is a mystery as to what would cause hernias in there. Let us know what you come up with! Good luck! -Kerm
