Hi Lanelle.

I have a fever almost all the time with endo flare ups. The other night when I was in ER over my endo pain, my temp was 100.9. Science has established among the list of endo signs and symptoms that endo flare ups are accompanied by a fever; and through all of my research about endo I've not found any one thing that truly defines why this happens. A website that I was reading a while back said that when endo flares up and the parts of our body that it's attached to become inflammed and swollen, the body's defense system kicks in and tries to attack it like it's a bacteria. Any time that the body's defense system is working, a fever will occur. My fever with a flare up usually rages between 99.7 and 101. When people hug me they will comment on how I feel like I'm running a fever or they will ask me if I feel okay because they say I feel warm. So you can expect to have a fever when endo flares up; but if your temp climaxes or hangs around for longer than 48 hours, you need to see a doctor.
