I am sorry you had to deal with the rude woman, there is no way you
could go back to work the next day. I had mine on a Friday and barely
made it back to work on Tuesday. I had discomfort and my stomach was
very swollen, where i could only wear elastic waist pant for alomst 2
weeks. Luckily I have a job that does not require me to stand a whole
lot. I brought my heating pad for the first week and often had to take
breaks and lay on a couch in our lounge area. I know several people who
have had this surgery and have never heard of anyone returning to work
the next day or returning to housework or anythign for a few days. What
if you ripped open the incision? That would create more problems.
