To be honest Storm, i don't think you are being irrational...........having any OP is scary and i think your only human for worrying about it!! It doesn't help you that they may have to remove your ovary, that would be enough to send me running for the hills!! I also totally understand when you say about your scared to lose the pain, i'm also in constant daily pain sometimes bearable other times (like now) unbearable! i have also forgotten what its like to lead a "normal" life with no pain, its just so sad that we've gotten used to living in daily agony!! The doctors also make me sick when they say its all in our heads.........i'd like to see them dealing with this disease!!!

Anyway Storm, you must try and get in control of this hospital fear before it really does become a problem for you! Tell the nurses and doctors etc how nervous you are, they are there to help...........Learn how to do some relaxation techniques, even just how to control your breathing as deep breathing really does help calm you down, at the end of the day your surgeon can't do anything without your permission..............

I really do hope i've helped even a little to calm your fears, we are all here to help and listen and your not alone so don't feel you are...........you can do this, be strong and positive..........i'm here whenever you need an ear as are all the girls on here!!

Wishing you painfree days, thinking of you

Take good care, big hugs
