You are NOT alone!! Probably just about everyone here has have negative thoughts about their Dr and or surgery. When a Dr. can't guarentee the outcome of a surgery..it is scary! You are in their hands..if you don't feel confindent that your dr. will the best for you look into finding another dr. Cysts on the ovaries can be endo..and it can be difficult to remove sometimes damaging the ovary. Is your dr. really qualified for this surgery? Be aware that any ob/gyn will say that they can help..I would sugest finding another dr......especially since he said it was in your head!!!! I have walked out of dr.s offices before, because they said there is nothing they can do for me. I think that since your dr. dismissed you AND then siad he'd do surgery..that is making you hesitant to have him do your surgery. IT IS COMPLETELY NORMAL to feel this way. one site to look into is the AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF GYNECOLOGIC LAPAROSCOPISTS...THIS SITE WILL GIVE YOU THE NAME AND NUMBER OF DR.S IN YOUR AREA THAT ARE UP ON THE BEST TECHNIQUES FOR LAPRACOPIC PROCEEDURES. It is important to find a good dr. with excellent techniques. This is recommended by the endometriosis association in finding a qualified dr. I hope this helps. REMEMBER...YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS! PS..counseling may help..
