Christine, If you are open to some "natural" ideas....I had alot of luck with acupuncture. It was a great pain management tool, but doesn't necessarily hold off the endometriosis. I've also recently purchased the book "Endometriosis, healing through nutrition". As far as a specialist is concerned. There is Dr. Albee in Atlanta, Dr. Redwine in Bend OR, Dr. Cook in California. I'm sure there are others, these are the ones I am familiar with. They specialize in endo and in excision surgery. Alyson
