Re: Endo pain ++++From: Alyson (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Mar 8 06:59:16 2006
Lisa, I am in a very similar situation with my endo. I had surgery in October and the pain was back by Christmas. When I had the surgery my doc found endo on the sacral ligament and the pelvic wall down in my right hip socket (among other places). He explained that the endo on the ligament is often responsible for the lower back pain (he calls it birthing pain) and that the endo in my hip could be responsible for hip/sciatic/back pain. I have not had it shoot so far as my knees and ankles though. As far as diet is concerned, I just purchased the book by Dian Shepperson Mills. I think the title is "Endometriosis, Healing Through Nutrition". You can search her name on Amazon. The book was on back order for 5 weeks, so I checked it out from the library in the meantime. It is very educational and provides a diet to follow as well as suggestions for supplements. I currently take a women's multi vitamin, evening primrose oil, vitamin e, and fish oil. I'd check with your doctor before taking them though. Good luck, Alyson
