Friend considering hystorectomy--advice? Should i have the lap???" Hi All, I know we've visited this topic several times, but.... My friend has a tentative endo diagnosis and has scheduled a hysterectomy for the end of this month. Her ultra sound showed what looks like a large endometrioma, but of course the doc can't confirm until he gets in with the scope. She has confirmed uterine fibroids (many), has had two kids and doesn't want more. She knows she wants her uterus out, but doesn't know about the ovaries, cervix, etc. Doc also wants to put her on low dose Estrogen immediately following surgery. (which, from what little I know doesn't really sound like a good idea if it is endo) Any suggestions, cautions??? I don't know enough about it to give definitive advice. Thanks!
