Re: Pray for us.My only daughter, brain tumorFrom: Tara (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Feb 28 22:16:13 2006
Alexandra, My prayers are with you. I have often heard that giving children a small teddy bear or some other token to take with her through the procedures and surgeries can help. She may be with nursing and medical staff without you for periods of time and a small token of comfort can help her to feel like she is not alone. Give it to her right before she goes for her first procedure. Even for a six year old, who may normally think a stuffed animal is silly, it is comforting. It's like us wearing our favorite pair of socks for a laparoscopy or some other token of home or family. Let us know what they find during the biopsy. It is really positive that the tumor is encapsulated and is small. Often it it just a fatty benign tumor. I'll pray for you, Tara
