Re: Please help me.

Hi Anonymous,
I agree with the other ladies here - please see a gyn if you can. It
took my family doc 10 years to refer me to a gyn (from when I started
complaining when I hit puberty at 15). The gyn took one look at my
family doc's notes and said straight off "classic signs of endo, you
don't have to put up with this" and promptly booked me in for the lap
for diagnosis/removal of disease (didn't really help with the pain
though . . .).
If you see a doc that isn't so sympathetic or makes you feel brushed
off, find another one. Go armed with a list of questions that you want
answers to. Having a diagnosis isn't the end to it but it is very
empowering to have a name to call the pain.
If you think you have endo you should also read "Endometriosis: the
complete reference for taking charge of your health" (Mary Lou Ballweg -
Endometriosis foundation) and "Endometriosis: the key to healing through
nutrition" (Dian Shepperson Mills). They are the best resources I've
found with info on all aspects of this disease.
Good luck!

>>hi my name is angela im 32 and had symptons when i was your age. the upset and frustration will wane if u seek help. ask doctor to send u hospital about endo. they will put a key hole surgury instrument through your belly button after initial appointment to have a look if they think u have it. i am telling u this so it is not a shock but i can asure u i doesnt hurt and u will feel fine after ward. if u have a mild case which still can be very pain ful and depressing theres loads u can do. doctor may try u with paracetamal but i get more relief from eating a smartie they may work for u and u dont know unless u try it. if it doesnt work doctor can conbine this with an anti inflammatry tablet, make sure u eat a biscuit or snack as u may feel an upset tummy. yoga and palates may help when u feel well enough and can get them on dvd it is said that eating meat and dairy products doubles the rate of growth of endo if u try replacing meat with mushrooms . if paracetomal doesnt work any more after a time doc can give u very strong painkillers i get co drydomal and antinflamotrys together for bad days.. doctor advsed me to take my contraceptive pill continually for 9 months which was great as no periods and it made my endo shrivel up and die for a while like it does during pregnancy but it came back again now. your advantage is u can take contraceptive pill for years to control its growth and pain as your young. doctor advised me now to have a period evert 3 to 4 months i was on the mini pill before as well which u take continually any way with no break to bleed, but u only can take it the same time every day or up to 3 hours after, i got caught pregnant for forgetting what time i should take it and taking it late ,so use this one later in life when u cant take the normall pill anymore as i cant cause it gives me migranes as i been on it so long(15) years.if it gets worse still they can operate or give u hormone drugs. once u get soted with doctors u will feel happier an
>d have the strength to not let it beat u and i now have a period every four months and book a week off work for it to relax, then i dont feel sorry for myself and have energy to do stuff , so u can work around it. hope this helps angela.
