New Here - a little long...From: Heidi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Feb 27 20:49:58 2006
Hi, I'm new to posting - thank you to Tara who helped me out! I was diagnosed with endo. one year ago at age 23. I have been experiencing pain since the age of 18 and was blown off by a few doctors before one finally took me seriously. I am fortunate in the fact that I do not have the unbearable cramps that so many of you suffer. However, my pain is severe during intercourse. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and had any suggestions. My husband and I have tried all the lubrications that are known to mankind (they don't help). I've been on Lupron, Danazol and the birth control pill. Nothing ever works and it has become a major source of frustration for me. To top it off, when I was on the danazol and Lupron, I gained 19 pounds which has been horrible for my self image and I haven't been able to lose it despite working out consistently. My husband is wonderful about all of this, but the emotional ride it currently has me on seems to be more painful at times than the actual physical pain I experince. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone ever visited a counselor about their endo.? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Heidi
