Hi Loretta,

I agree with Tara about you switching pain medicines now that I know about morphine slowing the intestines and stomach motility. That would explain a lot of my constipation issues over the past year. Before that I was on the fentanyl patch. I must say, that worked so well! I was on it a few years back and was up to a very strong mg patch. Then I went off after my hysterectomy for a little while when I was feeling better. When the pain came back, I tried it again (lower mg patch) and it made me so dizzy and constantly nauseas that I asked for something different. I was never told about that side effect of the morphine.
