Vicky, Hello Everyone, My name is Stephanie and I am 22 years old I had endo for about 7-8 yrs before I found a dr that actually cared to take the time and help me.... when I was about 13 or 14 I had severe pain and went to the dr (I seen another dr in the office not my own) he had told me about endo and said that he thought that I had it and that I needed to tell my dr that he thinks I need checked for it.... when I told her what he said she told me that I couldn't have that I was just having really bad periods and her cure for everything was pain pills so there I went another .... not sure how long on pain pills .... I got married in 2004 and my husband wanted me to go see his dr because of all the problems with mine.... so I switched drs and I think I was there for about 6 months and they had tried birth control first and that didn't work ..... she then suggested that I go to another dr (specialist) and see what he thinks because she thought that I had endo .... I went to my apt and sure endo it was..... I made my apt for Aug. 2, 2005 and sure enough I had quite a bit of endo and since the surgery I have felt great.... so just because you are 19 years old don't think that you are too young..... even if they don't find endo they can look around and see if there are any problems.... have you tried the seasonale birth control ... if not try that..... it seemed to help me with the pain and the bleeding I think you only have your period once every 4 months ...... also I take for heaving bleeding 3 or 4 ibuprofen every 4 to 5 hrs and that helps slow down the bleeding and alot of people I know have tried it and it works for them also..... I wish you the best of luck and remember after the surgery you are pain free!!!!!!!!! Good Luck,,,, Stephanie
