YES! My Doctor put me on birth control for my endo (stage 4) and my pain
got 10 times worse! It stopped being about how much I would be able to
do every month and became about how many days I would be stuck in bed
unable to move! Not to mention that sporatic knife twisting, gut
wrenching, doubled over and can't even think for 30 minutes (tender as
ever for the next 2 weeks) pain that hit whenever it wanted to. I
didn't care a fig about bleeding at that point... But - There are
different types of birth control out there. There are stronger ones,
weaker ones, and the kinds with different hormones... it's all trial
and error... Speak with your health care provider about the different
types of birth control out there - But as for pain... there's usually
no rhyme or reason - but it is a fact of life for many women with
endo...
