OK, its definately not in your head. You are not crazy. You know your body and what this pain feels like better than anyone else can. When I had my first lap I woke up and still felt the endo pain. I thought, Ok...recovery I just need more time. Two weeks later, still there. My doctor said it may take a couple of months to feel better. OK.. A couple of months later she said that it must be microscopic endo because there was no way that with me being on Seasonale the endo could have already grown back. After almost a year she was still telling me that another surgery was pointless, it would all be too small to see and I should get pregnant or go on Lupron. So, I decided to seek a second opinion. The new doctor took all of 5 minutes to listen to me and say No, it is not only possible for it to have grown back , but probable and there are things we can do without jumping right into Lupron. He scheduled a lap (this mind you is only a year after the first). My first doctor had me so convinced that there wouldn't be anything there, that I was almost embarrassed to have this guy do the surgery! He went in and it took him hours to clean me out. I had endo on the front and back of my uterus, the sacral ligament, my abdominal wall behind my uterus, my ovaries, and an ORANGE sized implant in the peritoneum of my right hip. My point is that my other doctor insisted there was no way it could have come back that quickly, and after that surgery I had clear proof that it had. There are way too many Obgyn's out there that are not as educated about endo as they could be. Before you get down on yourself try making an appointment for a second opinion. See if you can find a specialist in your area or at least someone with more experience with this disease. Ask your regular doctor for a recomendation or there are web sites with endo doctor information (I can give you those if you want to e-mail me). Obviously I can't say that your endo is definately back and that it couldn't be that there is something else going on with you. But you need to see someone that will investigate all of the possibilities..including the possibility that your endo was not completely removed (as is typical unless you have had excision) and is growing again. It has been 3 months and my endo pain is back. As frustrating as that is I know that when I go to the doctor today I will be listened to.
