How much are you moving around on a daily basis? Walking about? Also think of it this way...often we have lots of excess fecal material in our bowels. It doesn't come out on a daily basis, at least not completely. If you did a bowel prep before your surgery you have emptied your bowels. You may take a couple of weeks before anything is moving. Have you tried a stool softener? Not milk of mag. Depends upon how in depth your surgery was if they had to move around your bowels a bit it may take longer I had it take about 10 days the first time that I had a lap. Increase fiber slowly, lots of fluids and perhaps something like metamucil. Excersize is KEY in making our bowels move. If you lay down (not that YOU are doing that) most of the time or even sit down it will take longer for your body to respond.
