After ending up in the Er with pelvic pain on Thursday, my obgyn suggested that I start the above med now ASAP to ward off another cycle and regulate it better. I did several search engines and almost all the stuff pointed me to endo. Is this a preferred treatment of endo? I started on BCP in August. That has not helped and the ER US showed I was still ovulating. I know I have super eggs. The ER contacted my obgyn once appendicitis was ruled out and he said it was mittlesmertz syndrome, but that doesn't explain excuciating periods. Only the ovulation pain. BUT, mittlesmertz is treated with pain medications. While the searches I did showed up that the above med is for endo and regulating periods. He has not mentioned endo yet. Just suggested mittlesmertz. What do you guys think? Also did anyone on the above med experience hand swelling with it. My hands get so swollen on it. I called my ob's office today to let him know. They checked out the PDR and that wasn't listed as a side effect. But medline and several other sites said it is a side effect. Ob said do not stop taking the med. To increase H2O, limit salt, and if it gets really bad, cut the pill in half and take half a pill.
