Re: High blood pressure on the NuvaRing.

Hi Tara,

Thanks for the message! What is adeno like for you? I'm starting to think that I may have some of the symptoms of it. I read that it can cause abnormal bleeding, pelvic, bladder, and rectal problems all of which I have. I know it involves the endometrium invading the myometrium or something like that. My doctor has also found some endo on these places too, so who knows. The gym bleed that I had was sudden and did seem to happen with exercise. I did it again with physical activity yesterday. Its really getting annoying. I have had about one week in January that didn't involve spotting or bleeding and I'm on a continuous birth control pill. AAHHH!!!!

As for getting a cervical biopsy, I wouldn't be scared. My best friend has a condition called cervical dysplagia that produces abnormal cells, but is not cancerous. She always gets biopsies and they turn out the same way. If you have a good pap, then maybe your gyno is just being extra precautionary due to your bleeding history and adeno and stuff. I'm not completely sure, take into account that I work with mostly male patients in an ICU:) My gynecology is extremely weak as far as nursing goes!!:)

Thanks for the advice about my mom! Good luck with all of your appointments. My pre-op is Friday 3rd, and my lap is on the 13th also! Thank goodness its not Friday the 13th for two of us:) I'll be thinking of you. Let me know what your doc says after your pre-op!
