Re: Lupron - Good side effects?

The Lupron pamphlet that my doctor gave me said that in weeks 1-2 there "is a temporary increase in your estrogen levels producing a surge or a flare." During this surge you have a textbook reaction to the medication. Extra estrogen may give you a burst of energy, cleaning powers, new found great attitude etc. I would definitely be prepared for after week 2. It states that you may have "hot flashes, headaches, vaginal dryness, depression/mood changes, and start with bone density changes." I wish we could all live on that estrogen high, but I'm afraid it may be short lived for you. I wish you the best of luck and really hope that you keep this feeling beyond week 2. Lupron is a possible next step for me after my lap if my pain isn't controlled. Let me know how it goes.
