Re: After Lupron....?????From: Dena (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jan 25 18:46:13 2006
Hi Meg, How is your experience with Lupron going? I don't quite understand why your doctor treated you with Lupron if you weren't experiencing any pain from the endo. Are you planning on trying to conceive when you are finished with the lupron? My experience with Lupron was horrible, but that's irrelevant now. After Lupron, I found another doctor and I was put on continuous BC until I went through IVF to conceive my son. After he was born, I was on continuous hormone treatment again to keep my periods from occuring. It helped with the periods, but not the pain. When my son was eleven months old I had a complete hysterectomy, and that still hasn't helped. Ten months after the hyst I had another laparotomy for a large cyst and more endo, adhesions...... I really don't understand your doctor's thinking. Is he telling you not to have children and just treat your endo that isn't posing a problem? You're only 35, so ovarian suppression until menopause seems like an unusual treatment. Is he well educated in endometriosis?
