Re: Acupunture for endo painFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon Jan 16 00:38:27 2006
Hi, I was interested to read all your posts. Thank you. I was just told on Wednesday by a fertility specialist that I will be unable to have children because my endo is so bad... We were very very disappointed to hear this news. We have been trying for over a year and a half. Last summer it was found that I have a chocolate cyst measuring over 8cm and surrounding my left ovary. It has been decided that the best course of action is to put me on Lupron for 3 months and then do a lap to remove the cyst and any other endo that can be found. (I have it mostly on my bladder and rectum) Then invitro was suggestion to be done at this time. My husband is really hesitant to jump to such a big step (I am only 28) and so we are going to try accupunture initially. Has anyone heard or experienced accupunture helping with fertility? From what I've been told even if it takes care of some of the inflamation (and in turn lowers the levels of cytokin) then that could help! Also on another thought, I have been experiencing UTI type pain since mid Nov, but all the tests have come back neg. The pain has been blamed on my endo. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks, Alicia
