Holly, Did Dr. Albee or one of those guys do your excision? And did your Dr. give you any stats about the possibility of it coming back? I am sorry to ask so many questions, I am just so flabbergasted by the 9% statistic. Alyson

>>>Hi! I had excision surgery myself 4 years ago and I would say that the stats are very close to being correct. If the surgery is done correctly by a good surgeon and it is removed completely, it is not considered a cure, but is the closest thing to it. That, along with following what they tell you to do after the surgery is the key to keeping this disease away!! I would recommend it to anyone with endo! It is always going to be an uphill battle, but it is an easier battle after excision surgery. I had my surgery with Dr. Andrew Cook and he said that in the cases that it does come back, it is very minimal. I know for a fact from my own experience that he is right. Feel free to email me and I will tell you the rest of my story!! Hope this helps!
