Tina, I too hated the Lupron, as only had to take it for six months. My doctor than put me on Depro-Provera. I used Depro Provera for about three years, until last year. The mood swings and emotional side effects, as well as weight gain, were pretty bad with D.Provera, but the endo never came back. Are you in the US.? If so, some type of government aid program should provide birth control. I live in California, and the Planned Parenthood program we have here offers Depro Provera, at a low cost of free - depending on your financial status. Because you're 21, you could probably mark on their form your financial means, not your parents, and thus receive the free medication. On a side note, I was taken off of Depro Provera by my private ob/gyn (before I lost my insurance) because of the loss of bone tissue it can cause. But I had been on it for five years.

Hope this helps, Melissa
