Sian,
My first doctor put me on Seasonale (a three month birth control pill)
after my first lap. After the first month of pills I had all of the
pain typical of my period along with some break through bleeding. I did
not bleed as heavily as you described though. But, I did experience the
cramping and breakthrough each month through the pill cycle.
I am on Aygestin now, a continuous progesterone pill that I take every
day without ever stopping for a period....and I still experience
cramping every month when I should be having my period. So, maybe hang
with it a little longer, but if the bleeding continues to be that heavy
I would go see your doctor again.
