You know...this is such a touchy subject to touch in with your manager at work. I'm only 19, and I recently lost my job due to my endmetriosis. They didn't technically fire me....they just kept treating me like garbage until I finally quit.I work in a bar, and it's mandatory that you work on new year's eve.Well, I spent two days before new year's eve in the hospital, and had a doctors note saying I would not be in for a couple days.I was in too much pain. But, they just kept harassing me until I quit.

The only advice I can give you, is don't put your health at risk to please anyone...not even your boss.Endometriosis takes over your life, it controld everything that you do...and there's nothing we can do about it.When we need some time off, we need some time off, and we can't lift a gallon of paint...we can't life a gallon of paint!! Maybe it would be in your best interest to print up a little information sheet for your boss? Most people have no idea what endo is, and how it affects our lives. And I feel that if people were more knowledgable, it would be easier for us to deal with. Maybe if she understood, somewhat, what you're going through, and how much pain you are in some days, she would be more sensitive to your needs at work. Anyways, good luck with this!!! Amanda
