Re: ANDOMYOSIS---- POSSIBLE HYSTORECTOMY

Dear Jasey,

Thanks so much for writing. Sounds like you had quite an awful time before your hysterectomy. I am so happy to hear your sex life and life in general has improved. Life should always go in an up direction. As you know with adeno and sounds like you had endo as well it always seems as if life is going in a down direction.

I also have adenomyosis and am coming to that hysterectomy road. Over the last several months my BCP's haven't been working and I was getting a hot pain below my calf each time I took them. I knew if I didn't go off I would have had a blood clot, or worse, a stroke. I am now trying Prometrium (3 days) and it really took the stabbing pain away. I am not sure how it will work out as I went to the gym today all confident and came home bleeding again. So far I've bled almost every day except for a few (maybe 2-5) days in between since Sept. I am so tired. If the Prometrium fails than I will wind up with an Emergency Hysterectomy because when my body bleeds it is relentless without the meds. My doctor is not sympathetic to a hysterectomy. I am calling her tomorrow to try to change her mind. Wish me luck.

Keep well and thanks for sharing your story,
